Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while managing administrative tasks in a busy dental practice. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage the reception area to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services, procedures, and policies.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage billing processes efficiently.
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth operation of daily activities.
Process payments and manage insurance claims as necessary.
Keep the reception area tidy and organised, ensuring all necessary materials are stocked.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in an office or administrative role is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong focus on customer service.
Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficiency in using office software and dental practice management systems is an advantage.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
A professional appearance and demeanour that reflects the values of our practice.
