Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar/Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons. This role involves serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and providing a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous, but full training will be provided to the right candidate. A passion for food, drink, and guest satisfaction is essential.

Duties

Welcome guests warmly and take their orders accurately and efficiently.
Serve food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards.
Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and upsell specials to enhance guest experience.
Ensure tables are clean, tidy, and properly set before and after service.
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using the POS system.
Maintain a clean and organised work station throughout shifts.
Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties when required, adhering to food safety regulations.
Monitor guest satisfaction levels and respond promptly to any requests or concerns.
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.
Follow all health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable.
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities.
Good communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
A genuine passion for guest services and creating positive dining experiences.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the establishment’s operating hours.
