Full job description

Job Summary
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with construction industry experience to manage day-to-day finance operations.

The Role

This is a hands-on role responsible for keeping accurate, up-to-date financial records and supporting the smooth running of the business.

You will work closely with management and external accountants, with a strong focus on CIS and VAT compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero / Sage
Processing supplier invoices and payments
Raising sales invoices and credit control
Weekly bank reconciliations
Managing subcontractor payments and CIS deductions
Preparing information for monthly Construction Industry Scheme returns
Assisting with VAT returns (including VAT Reverse Charge for Construction)
Monitoring cashflow / highlighting issues
Supporting job costing and project tracking

Requirements (ESSENTIAL)

Previous bookkeeping experience in the construction industry
Strong working knowledge of CIS
Good understanding of VAT, including reverse charge
Experience using Xero, Sage or similar
High attention to detail and organisation

Applications without construction/CIS experience will not be considered

Pay: £24,420.00-£41,950.50 per year
