Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Jnr Sous Chef. This role involves overseeing food production processes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality. Responsibilities

Supervise daily food preparation and cooking activities to ensure consistency and quality.
Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment.
Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining cleanliness standards.
Coordinate food production schedules to meet service demands efficiently.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary techniques.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste.
Ensure all dishes are prepared according to company standards and customer expectations.
Maintain a positive working environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication within the kitchen team.

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a food production or hospitality setting.
Ideal opportunity for an experienced Chef de partie looking to progress their career.
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
Experience in hospitality environments such as hotels or restaurants is advantageous.
Familiarity with food service operations including serving and customer interaction is beneficial.

This role requires a proactive individual with a passion for culinary excellence and team leadership. Candidates should be organised, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of service and safety at all times.
