Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Operational Administrator to provide administrative support to our logistics operations. This role is primarily office-based and focuses on accurate data inputting, documentation, and customer communication to ensure the smooth running of daily activities.

Working within a small logistics business, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, supporting drivers from an administrative perspective, and delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Perform accurate and timely data inputting across internal systems
Maintain and update shipment records, delivery information, and operational data
Process delivery documentation, including proof of delivery (PODs)
Provide administrative support to drivers, assisting with queries and delivery-related paperwork
Handle customer service enquiries via phone and email in a professional manner
Communicate delivery updates, resolve queries, and escalate issues where required
Track shipments and ensure all records are up to date and accurate
File and organise operational documents, both electronically and physically
Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth administrative workflow
Support general office duties including emails, filing, and reporting
Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety standards

Key Skills & Experience

Previous experience in administration, customer service, or logistics support (preferred)
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
High attention to detail
Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented

Working Hours

45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Shift options:
9:00am – 7:00pm
Includes 1-hour unpaid lunch break

What We Offer

£13.50 per hour (£31,590 per year)
Full-time, permanent position

Pay: £31,590.00 per year
