Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children's development, creating a safe and nurturing environment, and fostering positive learning experiences. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children and committed to delivering high-quality childcare. Applicants should possess relevant experience in nursery settings and demonstrate strong management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in accordance with early childhood education standards
Supervise and support children during play, learning, meal times, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being
Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment that promotes learning and development
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Monitor and record children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones
Assist in the organisation of daily routines and activities to ensure smooth operation of the nursery
Support new staff members through mentorship and guidance to uphold high standards of childcare
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and licensing requirements

Requirements

Proven experience working within a nursery or early childhood education setting
Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
Knowledge of childcare regulations, safeguarding procedures, and early childhood curriculum frameworks
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative
Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation or outings
Relevant qualifications in childcare or early childhood education are preferred but not essential for all roles

Pay: £24,420.00-£36,349.25 per year
