Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet client specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Collaborate with clients and team members to determine colour schemes and design preferences.
Ensure all work is completed within specified timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist in the organisation of materials and tools needed for each project.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding progress or any issues encountered during work.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred.
Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation between sites.
Fluency in English with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure precise application of finishes.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various settings.
Physical fitness to undertake manual tasks including climbing ladders, working at heights, and handling materials.
Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to painting and decorating activities. This role provides an engaging environment where craftsmanship is valued, offering opportunities for professional growth within the decorating industry.

Pay: £160.00-£200.00 per day
