Full job description

Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be required to process waste/scrap material through the grinding operation in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

Day to day activities will include;

Process material through the grinding operation
Remove scrap and/or unused materials and store in correct locations
Ensure the safe operation, general maintenance and cleaning of grinding equipment
Grind scrap material according to plan and accurately record data as required
Adopt a ‘clean as you go’ approach to ensure housekeeping standards are effectively maintained
Carry out duties in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
Support and train colleagues where necessary, in line with work instructions and standard operating procedures
Contribute and participate in Company activities
Carry out additional and/or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business

The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for technical work and a good understanding of the granulation process although full training will be provided. Applicants should also have;

The ability to work to deadlines
A valid FLT licence (desirable)
Good communication skills
The ability to work with minimum supervision
Awareness of current Health & Safety practices

This role is a permanent night shift position working 4 on/4 off, 6:30pm until 6:30am.

Pay: £28,763.28 per year
