Full job description

Our Team is growing at The Learning Tree and we are currently searching for a warm and friendly Nursery Practitioner to join us in creating a nurturing and adventurous environment.

They will need to be enthusiastic and passionate about working in Early Years, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young children.

Responsibilities Include:

Providing a safe and secure environment for children by Ensuring that health and safety measures are constantly maintained via completing risk assessments, reporting risks and recording accidents and incidents.
Developing and maintaining relationships with parents and carers good communication is key!
Encouraging children to develop their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills.
Planning activities that are appropriate for the age and stage of development of the children in your care.
Observing and recording children's progress
Being aware of the individual needs of each child in your care.
Leading the team within the baby department.
Settling children into nursery and developing individual “all about me” profiles for each child.

Must have:

At least two years of experience working with children.
Understanding of the importance of following and abiding by policies and procedures
Knowledge of safeguarding
Understanding of the importance of confidentiality

Qualifications:

Childcare Level 3 or above
First aid (preferred)
Child protection (preferred)
Food hygiene (preferred)

Desirable:

DBS on update service (one can be obtained via the nursery if you do not have one)
Clean UK Drivers licence with 2 years experience

Job Specifications:

Full time: Monday - Friday
