Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Room Lead to oversee and support the daily operations within our nursery setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with a passion for working with young children. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and well-being of children in a nurturing environment, ensuring high standards of childcare and early childhood education are maintained. The successful applicant will be responsible for guiding a team of early years practitioners, planning engaging activities, and fostering a safe, inclusive space for learning and growth.

Duties

Lead and supervise the early years team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality childcare delivery
Plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote developmental milestones
Monitor children's progress and maintain detailed records in accordance with regulatory standards
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children within the nursery environment at all times
Foster effective communication with parents and carers regarding children's progress and daily routines
Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment that adheres to health and safety regulations
Support new staff members through training and induction programmes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the nursery setting

Qualifications

Proven leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
Strong background working with children, ideally with nursery or early childhood education experience
Relevant childcare qualifications recognised by local regulatory bodies (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities
Passionate about child development, safety, and creating an inclusive environment for all children
