Supported Living Service Manager

Location: Solihull
Responsible to: Senior Service Manager
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
On-call payment: £100 per week you are on-call (approximately 1 in 3 weeks)
Working Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
Job Type: Permanent

Established over 30 years ago, Individual Care Services delivers a person-centred provision for adults with learning difficulties and Autism. We provide the highest level of care whilst putting our clients’ best interests first.

With Residential Care Homes and Supported Living across Coventry, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Solihull, Individual Care Services can adapt to our clients needs, support Local Authorities and provide bespoke services to private customers 24/7.

We are now looking for a Service Manager to join and lead our friendly and supportive team across our Solihull region.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To ensure service delivery to service users is person-centred, safe and compliant with both CQC and the policies set by Individual Care Services
To lead and supervise a group of Support Workers within the specified area and be responsible for a group of allocated service users.
To ensure your team provide and maintain the highest levels of care in line with the Company’s vision, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, implement and review client care and support plans and ensure all associated documentation is completed in a timely manner.
Provide staff feedback to the Compliance & Investigations Officer in readiness for staff reviews.
Undertake observations of Support Workers work performance, including write-up of notes.
Complete new starter inductions and monitor to sign-off.
Hold regular team meetings including preparation of meeting notes and actions.
Hold, or participate in, meetings with service users, their families / representatives, relevant professionals etc.
Undertake regular audits of the service.
Prepare a 4-week rota and work with the Scheduling Coordinator to ensure gaps (sickness/holidays) are covered.
Post holders may be required to work on shift when necessary.
Participate in the on-call rota (which will include some evenings and weekends).

Requirements:

A minimum of 1 year's People Management experience (essential)
Experience in the care sector is advantageous but not essential (must have a willingness to learn care)
Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle (this role will require you to hold Business Insurance)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Adult Social Care (completed or willingness to work towards)
Good level of English
Excellent communication skills
