Full job description

Personal Assistant (PA) to Founder – Islamic Toy Company

Location: Stanmore (office based)
Part-time: 10–15 hours per week (Monday–Friday, approx. 2–3 hours per day)

Are you organised, energetic and love making things happen?

We are looking for a proactive, tech-savvy and hands-on Personal Assistant to support the Founder of a growing Islamic educational toy company.

The Desi Doll Company creates fun and interactive toys that help children learn about Islam through play. Our products are loved by families worldwide and stocked in leading retailers including Selfridges, Fenwick and The Entertainer.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same! You’ll be working closely with the Founder and wider team to help keep projects, ideas and the business moving forward.

Responsibilities include:

Providing day-to-day admin support to the Founder
Managing tasks, reminders, follow-ups and helping keep projects organised
Supporting team communication and coordination
Using AI tools and technology to improve efficiency, research ideas and support projects
Creating and maintaining spreadsheets, documents and reports
Supporting with Canva designs, presentations and simple creative tasks
Helping organise events, product launches, exhibitions and marketing activities
Assisting with social media tasks (ideas, scheduling, trends, engagement support)
Researching information, suppliers and finding solutions when needed
Liaising with customers, suppliers, partners and colleagues
Supporting customer service queries, returns and follow-ups
Helping with general office tasks (including the occasional parcel packing!)
Jumping in wherever needed to support a small but growing business

We’re looking for someone who is:

✨ AI curious — excited to explore tools like ChatGPT and new technology to work smarter and improve productivity
✨ Confident with spreadsheets, Word documents, Google Workspace/Microsoft Office
✨ Able to use Canva or willing to learn simple creative tools
✨ Social media aware and understands platforms like Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
✨ A great communicator with strong written and verbal skills
✨ Friendly, approachable and brings positive energy to the workplace
✨ Smiley, enthusiastic and enjoys working with people
✨ Proactive — spots problems and finds solutions
✨ A natural organiser who loves creating order from chaos
✨ Flexible, hands-on and happy to help wherever needed
✨ Reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently
✨ Enjoys working as part of a team and supporting others
✨ Has a strong “can-do” attitude and takes ownership

Experience in admin, PA support, marketing support or small businesses is helpful, but attitude, initiative, curiosity and willingness to learn are most important.

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
