Job Summary

Join Nataly's The Pastry Lab as a Barista/Cashier and play a key role in creating exceptional experiences through our delicious pastries, specialty coffee, and welcoming atmosphere. As a vital member of our vibrant team, you will expertly craft a variety of coffee and tea beverages alongside handling bakery sales transactions. Your enthusiasm, efficiency, and attention to detail will ensure every customer leaves with a smile and memorable service. This paid position offers a fantastic chance to grow your skills in both barista craft and retail operations within a supportive, lively bakery environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve specialty coffee, teas, and bakery beverages with care and consistency
Assist customers in selecting and purchasing pastries, cakes, and drinks, offering friendly recommendations
Accurately operate the cash register and process all payments swiftly and securely
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting coffee and bakery area, following food safety standards
Restock supplies and bakery items to ensure smooth daily operations
Manage busy periods efficiently, balancing speed with excellent customer service
Support team members with light bakery tasks and workflow as needed

Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience as a barista, cashier, or in food service within a bakery or café is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, beverage presentation, and food safety guidelines
Proficient in handling cash and electronic transactions with accuracy and integrity
Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude and ability to engage with guests warmly
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality
Basic food preparation and bakery knowledge to assist with light kitchen duties
Strong teamwork spirit combined with a proactive approach to help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting space
