Full job description

Job Overview

The Mount Batten Bar & Carvery are looking for an reliable and hard working Kitchen Assistant to work within our team. We are a very busy waterfront pub with a large outside seating area as well as carvery restaurant. We serve good quality homecooked food throughout the day, 7 days a week.

As this is a very busy environment we are looking for someone reliable and well organised who can use their own initiative and work well under pressure.

Duties

Manage the smooth running of the salad section during service
Assist kitchen team with food preparation ready for service
Assist with replenishment of carvery vegetables during carvery service
Work with established food safety practices, including hygiene standards and proper storage procedures
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area

Experience

Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen role, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Good knowledge of food preparation and food safety standards
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
