Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Setter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining machinery to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background

Duties

Prepare and set up machinery for production runs, ensuring all tools and fixtures are correctly installed.
Conduct routine inspections and perform minor maintenance or troubleshooting on equipment.
Operate hand tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools safely and effectively.
Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage and movement of parts.
Assist with assembly processes when required, adhering to safety standards.
Monitor machine performance during operation, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
Document setup procedures and maintenance activities accurately for record keeping.

Requirements

Forklift licence
Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments.
Strong mechanical knowledge.
Experience with milling, welding, assembly, and tooling is highly desirable.
Competence in using hand tools and materials handling equipment safely.
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to machine setup.
Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail and safety compliance. This role provides an engaging work environment where technical skills are valued and developed further through ongoing training opportunities.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
