Job Opportunity: Night Shift Warehouse Operative
Location: Shireoaks / Worksop
Company: Refrigerated Delivery Services Ltd.
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift: Night Shift (9 hours per night)
Schedule: 9-week rolling rota
Hours: Average 46 hours per week
Salary: Competitive (plus overtime opportunities)

About Us:
Refrigerated Delivery Services is a trusted transport company specializing in the storage and distribution of ambient, chilled, and frozen foods. Our team is at the heart of the cold chain logistics industry, ensuring food products are stored and delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

The Role:
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Night Shift Warehouse Operative to join our team. You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of goods within our temperature-controlled warehouse. This includes unloading deliveries, checking stock, picking and packing orders, and preparing goods for distribution.

This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving & Handling Goods

Unload deliveries from trucks and vans (manually or using equipment)
Check incoming stock against documentation and inspect for damage or discrepancies
Sort and store items in designated temperature zones (ambient, chilled, and frozen)

Order Fulfillment

Pick and prepare customer orders accurately
Label and load goods onto vehicles for dispatch

Warehouse Operations

Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks safely
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with health & safety standards
Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding tasks and issues
Support other warehouse duties as required

What We’re Looking For:✔ Previous warehouse experience (preferred)
✔ Comfortable working in ambient, chilled, and frozen environments
✔ Physically fit – capable of lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
✔ Team player with good communication skills
✔ Basic computer literacy
✔ Forklift licence (an advantage, but not essential – training may be provided)
✔ A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
