Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces in construction and renovation projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship to contribute to high-quality building finishes. The position requires a professional approach, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Ensure all work is completed to specified standards and within project deadlines
Mix paints and colours accurately to achieve desired shades
Protect surrounding areas by covering floors, furniture, and fixtures during painting processes
Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Follow health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members regarding project progress and requirements

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting or related trades is desirable
Strong understanding of different types of paints, finishes, and application techniques
Excellent communication skills in English for clear interaction with colleagues and clients
Good driving skills to travel between sites as required
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Organised with attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols
