Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organised Part-Time Admin Assistant, ideally suited for college or university students, to join our team in Dewsbury WF17 8LL. This role offers flexible hours to accommodate academic commitments and provides valuable experience in administrative functions within a professional environment. The successful candidate will support daily office operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. This paid position is perfect for individuals looking to develop their administrative skills whilst balancing studies.

Duties

Assist with general administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and document organisation
Manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and direct enquiries appropriately
Support the preparation of reports and correspondence using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
Maintain accurate records using software such as QuickBooks and other relevant programmes
Organise schedules, appointments, and meetings to ensure efficient office operations
Assist with mail handling, photocopying, scanning, and other clerical duties as required
Support team members with ad hoc administrative projects to enhance overall office productivity

Qualifications

Previous office or administrative experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
Experience with data entry and basic bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Strong typing skills and attention to detail in document preparation
Good communication skills, demonstrating professional phone etiquette
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a proactive approach
Currently enrolled in college or university programmes preferred but not mandatory
