Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Workshop Controller / Parts Advisor to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing workshop operations efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth workflow and accurate parts management. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills and a passion for automotive to develop their career within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily workshop activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and optimal utilisation of resources
Coordinate with technicians to schedule repairs and maintenance work effectively
Manage parts inventory, ensuring availability of necessary components and ordering stock as required
Provide expert advice to customers regarding parts and services, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts, and service history using Microsoft Excel or other relevant software
Communicate clearly with clients via phone and face-to-face, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Assist with maintenance tasks around the workshop to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency
Organise workflow schedules to optimise productivity and minimise downtime

Skills

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on professional phone etiquette
Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance or workshop operations is advantageous
Ability to prioritise tasks, demonstrate attention to detail, and maintain organisation under pressure
Good interpersonal skills to liaise confidently with customers, suppliers, and team members
