Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively hospitality environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, possess good organisational skills, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or bar experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry while working in a vibrant and friendly atmosphere.

Duties

Serve drinks and food to customers in a courteous and professional manner
Take orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout shifts
Check identification to ensure legal drinking age is adhered to
Restock supplies and manage stock levels effectively
Handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Assist in setting up and packing down the bar before and after trading hours
Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment and promote specials or events

Skills

Strong hospitality skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in beverage service
Excellent serving skills with attention to detail
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Previous restaurant or bar experience is advantageous but not mandatory
Effective time management to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment
Personal presentation that reflects professionalism and confidence
