Full job description

Summary

We are looking for a skilled and reliable 1st & 2nd Fix Carpenter to join our growing team. The role involves working on a variety of residential and commercial projects, including both local and out-of-town sites. You will carry out high-quality carpentry work while working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Carry out all aspects of 1st and 2nd fix carpentry to a high standard.
Read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
Install doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves, staircases, kitchens, flooring, and other joinery items.
Complete structural timber work, stud walls, roof work, flooring, and other 1st fix tasks.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite.
Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
Travel to local and non-local project sites as required.

Requirements

Proven experience in 1st and 2nd fix carpentry.
Ability to read and work from technical drawings and plans.
Competent in the use of hand and power tools.
Good spoken and written English to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and site managers, and to understand drawings and health and safety instructions.
Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel to both local and non-local projects.
Good physical fitness and the ability to work in a range of site conditions.
Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
CSCS Card is desirable but not essential.
