Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-time Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and supporting our accounting processes. This role offers flexibility and an opportunity to work within a professional environment, contributing to the smooth financial operations of our organisation. The ideal applicant will have experience with Xero accounting software programmes and possess strong organisational skills.

Duties

Record and maintain financial transactions using accounting software using Xero
Manage accounts payable and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
Assist with preparing financial reports and statements as required
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Maintain organised financial records in compliance with company policies and regulations
Collaborate with other team members to improve accounting processes and procedures

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
Proficiency in accounting software Xero is essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members effectively
Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are preferred but not mandatory
