Sous Chef – Fifty, Looe, Cornwall

Full-Time

Fifty is an independent, family-run restaurant in the heart of Looe, Cornwall. We are a 30-cover restaurant focused on delivering high-quality, seasonal dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients in a relaxed fine dining environment.

We’re looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our small, close-knit kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with fresh produce, takes pride in their food, and wants to play a key role in a growing independent restaurant.

What You’ll Be Doing

Assisting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard.
Supporting the development of seasonal menus and daily specials.
Maintaining excellent food hygiene and HACCP standards.
Helping with stock control, ordering and minimising waste.
Leading the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
maintaining a positive working environment.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience as a Sous Chef or an experienced Chef de Partie ready to step up.
A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal food and quality ingredients.
Calm, organised and able to work efficiently during service.
High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to obtain).
