Overview:

Join our team as a Waiter, where you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences from the moment customers arrive until the end of their visit. You will be responsible for providing attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient table service in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment.

We are looking for someone who is confident engaging with guests, passionate about food and beverage, and able to deliver knowledgeable recommendations while maintaining a high standard of service during busy periods. If you thrive under pressure and take pride in creating memorable guest experiences, we invite you to be part of our team.

Duties:

Welcome guests warmly and create a positive first impression
Provide attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service throughout the guest experience
Take accurate food and beverage orders while confidently answering questions about the menu
Demonstrate strong knowledge of dishes, ingredients, allergens, preparation methods, and beverage options
Make informed recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary requirements
Deliver food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high service standards during busy periods
Monitor tables attentively and anticipate guest needs throughout their visit
Communicate clearly and effectively with the kitchen, bar, and front of house teams
Manage multiple tables and competing priorities efficiently in a high-volume service environment
Handle guest enquiries, feedback, and requests professionally and promptly
Process payments accurately and efficiently
Maintain clean, organised, and well-presented service areas throughout the shift
Follow food safety, health and safety, and responsible service procedures at all times
Support the wider team during busy services, events, and peak trading periods

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating outstanding guest experiences
Strong knowledge of food, beverages, menu items, ingredients, and allergens
Confidence in making knowledgeable recommendations and explaining menu items to guests
Ability to remain calm, organised, and professional in a high-volume environment
Strong multitasking and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail and order accuracy
Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, personalised service
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively across departments
Positive, energetic, and professional attitude
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistently high service standards

Experience:

Previous experience as a Waiter, Server, or within a busy hospitality environment is desirable. Experience working in a high-volume restaurant, pub, events venue, or other fast-paced hospitality setting is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is confident interacting with guests, has a strong understanding of food and beverage, and can deliver knowledgeable and engaging service even during the busiest periods.
