Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Admin Assistant to support our rapidly growing electrical contracting business. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining smooth administrative processes, ensuring effective communication, and assisting with various clerical tasks. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional environment, contributing to the overall efficiency of our team.

Duties

Managing incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and directing enquiries appropriately
Organising and maintaining physical and digital filing systems for easy retrieval of documents
Data entry and updating records using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks
Assisting with scheduling appointments, meetings, and calendar management
Preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations as required
Supporting invoicing, billing, and basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks
Handling general administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, and mailing
Providing support to team members with various clerical tasks to ensure operational efficiency

Qualifications

Previous office experience or administrative experience is preferred
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace tools
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent typing skills with attention to accuracy and speed
Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is advantageous
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, along with professional phone etiquette
Ability to handle data entry tasks efficiently and accurately
Demonstrated organisational ability with attention to detail and confidentiality
