Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a Cook. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation and kitchen operations within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will contribute to creating high-quality meals while ensuring food safety standards are maintained. Previous experience in a restaurant or catering setting is advantageous, but a keen interest in cooking and meal preparation is essential.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking various dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene practices
Assist in meal assembly and presentation to meet quality expectations
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to create a safe working environment for all staff members
Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and replenishment of supplies as needed

Skills

Experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen environments preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and cleanliness
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Enthusiasm for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques
Previous restaurant or catering experience is advantageous but not essential; a genuine interest in food and cooking is required
