Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment with a focus on precision and efficiency. Experience with recognised accounting software is essential to ensure smooth and accurate bookkeeping processes.

Duties

Record and maintain financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries as required.
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Maintain organised records of receipts, invoices, and other financial documents.
Collaborate with external accountants or auditors during audits or financial reviews.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and organisational policies.

Requirements

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably using QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in using various accounting software packages and MS Office applications.
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively.
Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and external partners as needed.
Prior experience in managing accounts payable is desirable but not essential.
A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is advantageous but not mandatory.
