Full job description

Job Summary
We’re looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial manager to lead the operations of our 2 vibrant drinks only micropubs. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality, skilled in managing teams and committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers together with a flair for business innovation, and the drive to grow a venue as if it were their own.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day pub operations, including opening/closing procedures
Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and fire regulations
Manage stock levels, ordering, and deliveries for all beverages and bar supplies
Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff
Create rotas and manage shift scheduling
Foster a positive team culture and ensure high standards of service
Maintain a friendly, safe, and inclusive environment for all guests
Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly
Organize events, promotions, and entertainment to boost footfall and engagement
Continue to develop the pub’s identity through social media, local outreach and themed nights
Monitor cash flow, manage budgets, and report on sales performance
Implement cost-control measures and maximize profitability
Ensure accurate cash handling and banking procedures
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the bar and public areas
Ensure all equipment is functional and well-maintained

Skills

Proven experience in bar/pub management
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of alcohol licensing and responsible service
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Experience running themed nights or live music events
Familiarity with POS systems
Personal alcohol license holder (preferred not essential)
Treat the pubs like your own business
Bring fresh ideas to attract and retain customers
Understand margins, pricing strategies, and market trends
Build partnerships with local businesses, artists, and suppliers

Pay: £14.50 per hour

Work Location: In person
