Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Van Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining our fleet’s safety, reliability, and efficiency. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and servicing a variety of vans to ensure they operate at peak performance. Your mechanical expertise will keep our vehicles running smoothly, supporting our commitment to excellent service delivery. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to excel.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify necessary repairs accurately
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly, disassembly, and repair work on van components
Repair or replace faulty equipment parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
Conduct welding and other fabrication tasks to repair or modify vehicle structures when needed
Assist with heavy lifting and equipment handling to ensure safe and efficient repairs
Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for each vehicle

Experience

Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working on vans or similar vehicles
Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and vehicle repair manuals
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
Experience performing vehicle maintenance and equipment repair in a fast-paced environment
Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and support staff
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols
Knowledge of maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques for commercial vehicles
