Full job description

Job Title: Warehouse Operative - Afternoon Shift
Location: Central Supplies, Halesowen, B63 2QU
Salary: £12.85 per hour (£26,728 per annum)
Working Hours: Mon to Thu 11.30 – 20:00 and Fri 10:30 – 19:00

Distribution is made from our purpose built 31,500 sq. ft. warehouse situated within close proximity to Birmingham by our own fleet of chilled vehicles and additionally through a nationwide satellite depot distribution infrastructure provided by a partner sister Company. As part of the Kitwave Group, we are committed to providing outstanding service to our customers via our efficient and reliable supply chain.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse. This position is central to maintaining operational flow, supporting inbound and outbound processes, and upholding high standards of accuracy, safety and service.

You will be responsible for hands‑on warehouse activity, contributing directly to service performance, stock integrity and overall warehouse efficiency. Working as part of a high‑performing team, you will help deliver operational excellence and support continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Order picking: accurately pick orders to customer specifications in line with KPIs.
Loading & unloading: handle goods from lorries safely to prevent damage in accordance with manual handling.
Stock rotation: maintain product quality and correct stock flow.
General warehouse duties: support wider warehouse operations as required.

What We’re Looking For

Warehouse experience: previous experience in picking and packing is highly desirable.
System familiarity: experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
Attention to detail: ability to work accurately and efficiently.
Teamwork: positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
Reliability: dependable, safety‑focused and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
