Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker specialising in Children's Care to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support and care to children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children and possess strong communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively within a team. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while developing professional skills in childcare and support services.

Responsibilities

Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, promoting the children’s emotional and physical wellbeing.
Support children with daily activities, including education, leisure, and personal hygiene routines.
Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages positive behaviour and development.
Assist with organising activities that promote social skills, independence, and confidence.
Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and any incidents, ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, families, and external professionals to coordinate care and support plans.
Contribute to the ongoing development of care plans tailored to each child's needs.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a childcare or support setting is highly desirable.
Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely are essential for transporting children when necessary.
Strong understanding of child development principles and child protection policies.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, families, and team members.
Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation related to care plans and daily reports.
Compassionate attitude with patience, resilience, and a genuine desire to support children's growth and wellbeing.
Ability to work flexibly across shifts as required by the organisation’s rota system. This role provides an enriching opportunity for individuals committed to making a meaningful difference in children's lives through professional support within a caring environment.

Pay: £12.96-£14.00 per hour
