About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Customer Service Assistant (Entry Level) to join our team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate, career starter or individual looking to develop practical experience in customer service, communication, administration and business operations.

Full training and ongoing coaching will be provided, making previous customer service experience beneficial but not essential. You will learn how to respond to customer enquiries, understand customer requirements, provide accurate information and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will develop valuable skills in customer communication, problem-solving, organisation and relationship management. As your confidence and capabilities grow, you will have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and progress towards senior customer service, account management, supervisory or team leadership positions.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome customers professionally and provide friendly, helpful assistance.
Respond to customer enquiries through appropriate communication channels.
Listen carefully to customer requirements and provide accurate information.
Handle routine customer queries and resolve straightforward issues efficiently.
Escalate more complex customer concerns to the appropriate team member when required.
Maintain accurate customer records and complete relevant administrative tasks.
Follow established customer service procedures and maintain professional service standards.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure customer requests are handled efficiently.
Gather customer feedback and communicate relevant information to the wider team.
Participate in training and coaching to develop customer service, communication and professional skills.

Requirements

No previous professional customer service experience is required for this entry-level position. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate strong communication skills, reliability, a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn.

You should be comfortable communicating with customers and colleagues and able to follow established procedures accurately. Basic computer literacy, good organisation and attention to detail will also be useful.

The role is suitable for graduates, career starters and candidates with transferable experience from retail, hospitality, administration, sales, events, marketing or other customer-facing environments.

Experience

Previous experience in relevant customer service, customer-facing, administrative, retail, hospitality, sales, marketing, operations, or related roles is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
