Overview

Front of house Co-ordinator.

Location: Crawley Business Centre, Stephenson way, Three Bridges Crawley

Hours: Part-time 20 hours per week

Option 1: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 9am-4pm

Option 2: Monday & Friday 0900-1400 Tues, Weds, Thurs, 1200-1700

We are excited to announce a rare opportunity has arisen to join the growing team

at Crawley Business Centre. We are looking for a proactive, approachable and

enthusiastic receptionist/ front of house co-ordinator to lead and maintain our

welcoming well-managed business centre.

This isn't your typical "sit behind a reception desk and answer the phone" job.

This is a varied role which goes beyond traditional reception duties. You will be

responsible for the day-to-day running of the reception and front-of-house areas,

supporting our tenants, managing meeting room bookings, monitoring the

building and communal areas, coordinating contractors and assisting the Facilities

property coordinator and the Property Manager with the smooth operation of the

centre.

In short – you're the person who helps make sure everything works.

What will you actually be doing?

You'll be the first person our tenants, visitors, clients and contractors see, so we're

looking for someone who is naturally friendly, approachable and professional.

You'll:

Welcome visitors and make them feel at home.
Answer calls and deal with general enquiries.
Manage visitor sign-ins and ensure visitors are correctly registered.
Help people find where they need to go.
Be a friendly and reliable point of contact for our tenants.
Build great relationships with the businesses based at the centre.

Looking after our tenants

Our tenants are at the heart of everything we do, you’ll become the person they

will come to when they need help. That could be anything from:

"Can you help me book the meeting room?" to "There's something wrong with the

door." Or "Do you know when the contractor is coming?"

You'll deal with what you can, find the answer where you can't, and make sure the

Property Manager knows about anything important.

Keep the building running smoothly

You'll regularly keep an eye on:

Reception and the entrance
Breakout areas
Meeting rooms
Communal areas
Kitchen and toilets
Corridors
External areas
Car-Park
Health & Safety
Compliance

You'll spot things that need attention and arrange for them to be dealt with.

You'll also work with cleaners, contractors and other providers, making sure jobs

are completed and you’ll be responsible for ensuring standards are maintained.

Becoming the car park detective

Yes, this is actually part of the job! Our car park needs to work fairly for everyone,

so you'll keep an eye on how it's being used.

You'll monitor things such as:

Vehicles being left on site for long periods
Cars being left over weekends
Unauthorised parking
Vehicles being used for long-term or holiday storage

You won't need a clipboard, camera and a high-vis jacket... but you will need to

be confident having polite conversations when the rules aren't being followed!

Help us with continuous improvements

We'd also love someone who can bring a bit of creativity to the role.

You may get involved in:

Tenant communications
Centre events
Social media
Marketing ideas
Tenant engagement
Creating notices and promotional material

The Person

We're not necessarily looking for someone with years of reception experience.

We're looking for the right person.

The ideal candidate will be someone who takes pride in their work and in the

appearance and operation of the building.

You will need to be comfortable walking around the centre, identifying issues and

taking ownership of getting them reported or resolved. This isn't a role where you

simply sit behind a reception desk waiting for visitors.
