Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and extensive kitchen experience. As a vital part of our kitchen operations, the Sous Chef will assist in managing daily food production, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career development within a vibrant hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Coordinate food production to meet service times and customer expectations
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment
Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure excellent customer service
Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas and improvements

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen setting
Extensive food production, cooking, and food preparation skills
Strong team management capabilities with leadership qualities
Solid background in hospitality or restaurant environments
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Experience in food presentation and culinary techniques
Familiarity with restaurant operations including serving procedures
