Assistant Site Manager

Wynne Construction is seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Site Manager to join our construction team, predominantly working across sites in North West Wales. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a leading design and build contractor, supporting the successful delivery of projects from start to finish while ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to consistently high standards.

The Role – Assistant Site Manager

As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Project Manager and Site Manager with the day-to-day management of site operations, helping to ensure projects are delivered successfully while maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

· Assisting with the day-to-day management of site activities to support successful project delivery

· Supervising site teams, operatives, and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements

· Supporting the planning, coordination, and monitoring of construction activities against project schedules

· Ordering materials, checking deliveries, and managing the effective storage and distribution of resources on site

· Ensuring construction sites, compounds, and welfare facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and organised condition

· Monitoring workmanship and finishes to ensure compliance with project specifications, building regulations, and company quality standards

· Supporting compliance with Health and Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and company procedures

· Completing and maintaining HSEQ documentation and records as required

· Supporting quality and environmental standards in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001

· Liaising with clients, design teams, neighbours, and other stakeholders to maintain positive working relationships

· Assisting the Site Manager and wider project team in achieving project objectives relating to programme, quality, and cost control

· Permanent contract with full-time hours, working Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5pm

· 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing annually to a maximum of 24 days plus bank holidays

What We’re Looking For

· Previous experience assisting Site Managers on construction projects

· Experience working within live construction environments

· Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, CDM and current building regulations

· IT proficiency, with working knowledge of online construction management systems

· Full UK driving licence

While not essential, the following are desirable:

· Degree, HNC, or NVQ Level 4 in Construction, or currently working towards a relevant qualification

· SMSTS qualification

· First Aid at Work certification

· Fire Marshal qualification

· Appropriate valid CSCS Card
