Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting and decorating, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from residential to commercial properties, contributing to transforming spaces with colour and style. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
Use a range of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and specialised equipment
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Assist in the selection of colours and finishes based on client preferences and project specifications

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or similar trade roles
Valid driving licence is advantageous for site travel purposes
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to interpret technical drawings, instructions, and specifications accurately
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
Good organisational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently
Physical fitness to perform tasks that involve standing for long periods, climbing ladders, or working at heights
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: £180.00-£220.00 per day
