Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to join our reputable care home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the overall management of the facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in nursing, senior care, or home care to utilise their leadership and supervisory skills within a compassionate environment. The Deputy Care Home Manager will assist in overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with care standards.

Responsibilities

Assist the Care Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the care home, ensuring smooth operational functions.
Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans for residents, including those with dementia.
Supervise and mentor care staff, fostering a positive team environment that promotes professional growth and excellent resident care.
Oversee medication administration in accordance with legal and organisational guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards.
Monitor resident wellbeing, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
Coordinate staff rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times.
Contribute to staff training programmes, including specialised dementia and senior care modules.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive resident support.
Support the management of care home operations related to home care provisions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in nursing or senior care within a care home or similar setting.
Strong background in developing care plans.
Experience in supervising or managing a team within a healthcare environment.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols and regulatory requirements for care homes.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
Compassionate approach with excellent organisational and communication skills. This role is ideal for a proactive leader committed to delivering outstanding resident-centred care while supporting their team to achieve excellence within a professional setting.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure care complies with all regulatory and statutory standards. Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and maintain accurate records.
Min Level 3 in Adult care

Pay: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
