Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a professional attitude, excellent driving skills, and a focus on customer satisfaction. Prior experience with commercial driving and flatbed deliveries is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, to transport goods to designated locations.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines.
Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or issues.
Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies during all driving activities.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or commercial vehicles.
Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles.
Experience with flatbed lorry operations and securement of cargo.
Strong knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations within the area of operation.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently.
Ability to work independently and responsibly in a fast-paced environment.
Good physical fitness for loading/unloading cargo and handling deliveries.
A clean driving record with no recent violations or endorsements related to unsafe driving practices.
