Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiter and Floor Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team at Gino's of Streetly, a premium independent restaurant in the heart of Streetly village. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant floor. Previous experience in a similar role, along with a passion for hospitality, is highly desirable. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment dedicated to providing memorable dining experiences.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring timely delivery to guests
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
Provide attentive guest service, addressing any special requests or concerns promptly
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests
Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
Assist in basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
Manage cash transactions accurately using the POS system and handle payments professionally
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow throughout shifts

Requirements

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service roles is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques
Ability to perform basic food preparation and understand culinary processes is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to deliver exceptional guest services
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Previous kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not essential
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
