Processing & Collections Administrator

Location: Stockport
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, Office Based
Hours: Flexible – Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 6:00pm
Pay: £14.00 per hour + Commission

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Processing & Collections Administrator to join our team at our Stockport office.

We are a fast-growing business with offices in Stockport and Runcorn, and we're looking for reliable, professional people with a strong work ethic who want to become an important part of our team.

This is a varied position combining customer administration, processing and payment collections, with the opportunity to earn additional commission on top of your hourly pay.

Flexible Working Hours

We understand that people have different commitments outside of work, so we offer very flexible working hours.

Our office operates Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm, and we're happy to discuss different working patterns within these hours.

This could be particularly suitable for someone returning to the workplace, someone with family commitments, or an experienced professional looking for a position that provides greater flexibility.

Working With Our Customers

Our customers are predominantly over State Pension age, so patience, empathy and excellent communication skills are extremely important.

We particularly welcome applications from experienced and mature-minded professionals who enjoy speaking with older customers and understand the importance of treating people with patience, dignity and respect.

Life experience, reliability and the ability to have a natural conversation with customers can be just as valuable to us as previous experience in a similar position.

What You'll Be Doing

Processing customer applications and information accurately
Checking customer records and ensuring information is complete
Updating and maintaining customer records on our CRM
Managing cases through different stages of the process
Making outbound calls to existing customers
Contacting customers when payments become due
Taking and processing customer payments securely
Following up outstanding payments
Following up customers on agreed payment dates
Managing daily callback and collections lists
Keeping clear and accurate notes of customer conversations
Responding to customer queries
Working closely with other members of the team
Completing general administrative and processing duties

Collections & Commission

An important part of this position is customer payment collection.

You'll be speaking with existing customers whose payments have become due, so you'll need to be comfortable discussing payments confidently and professionally.

We're looking for someone who can be friendly, patient and understanding while also being persistent and organised.

In addition to your £14 per hour basic pay, you'll have the opportunity to earn commission based on performance.

Previous experience in administration, collections, credit control, customer service, call centres or another office-based environment would be an advantage, but isn't essential.

Full training will be provided.
