We're Hiring: Assistant Pub Manager

Location: The Horse and Hound, Kirk Deighton, Wetherby
Position: Full-Time Assistant Manager
Salary: £28000 to £29000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week
Start Date: July/August 2026

Are you passionate about hospitality, love working in a fast-paced environment, and ready to step into a leadership role? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Pub Manager to join our team and help us deliver an exceptional pub experience every day.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone with bar and floor experience who’s eager to learn, lead, and grow into a management role.

About the Role:

As Assistant Pub Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to lead our team, ensure smooth daily operations, and uphold the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and atmosphere. Your positive attitude and strong leadership will inspire the team and enhance the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Support day-to-day pub operations
Lead, motivate, and train front-of-house staff
Manage stock, orders, and supplier relationships
Ensure health & safety and hygiene compliance
Deliver excellent customer service at all times
Handle cash, tills, and banking duties
Step up in the absence of the General Manager

About You:

Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant in hospitality management role (restaurant/pub/bar preferred)
Excellent communication and team leadership skills
Customer-focused with a hands-on attitude
Calm under pressure and solutions-oriented
Flexible availability including weekends and evenings
Personal License (desirable, not essential)
