Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage essential financial records, ensure accurate bookkeeping practices, and support our overall accounting functions. As a key member of our finance team, you will help maintain the integrity of our financial data, streamline processes, and contribute to the smooth operation of our business. This position is perfect for someone passionate about numbers, organized, and eager to grow their accounting expertise in a flexible, part-time capacity.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records by recording transactions using Sage Line 50 and Excel.
Manage accounts payable processes by verifying invoices, processing payments, and ensuring timely vendor payments.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts regularly to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Prepare financial reports and summaries to support management decision-making.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities by organizing relevant documentation.
Collaborate with team members to improve bookkeeping procedures and implement best practices for financial recordkeeping.

Qualifications

Proven experience using accounting software Sage
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
Experience managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting support roles is preferred but not required.
