Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our front desk team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic hospitality environment, delivering memorable experiences for our guests. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a passion for hospitality and guest services.

This is a multi vacancy role - contract is set at 8 - hours per week with further hours depending on the needs of the business

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with the check-in and check-out procedures
Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently
Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Maintain accurate records of guest details and billing information
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction
Process payments securely using the hotel’s booking system
Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure a positive experience
Uphold hotel policies and standards of cleanliness, safety, and security

Skills

Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Proven experience in hotel reception or guest services is desirable
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous for serving diverse guests
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional appearance
Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices is preferred
