Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper and Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for finance and administration to contribute to the smooth operation of our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, supporting administrative tasks, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping using recognised accounting software. This position is ideal for someone seeking flexible working hours while applying their skills in a professional environment.

Duties

Maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Managing accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently
Reconciling bank statements and preparing financial reports as required
Assisting with payroll processing and employee expense claims
Organising and maintaining administrative files and documentation
Supporting general administrative duties including correspondence, scheduling, and data entry
Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies
Providing support during audits by organising necessary documentation and reports

Qualifications

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within a small or medium-sized organisation
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial documentation management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards of work quality
